The sun came out on Saturday morning so I headed out on my bike to take a look at the various projects in and around downtown. First stop on the 12 mile loop was The Vaux. The ride then stopped at The Riverscape Townhomes, The Pinnacle, The Elizabeth, 1620 NE Broadway, The Strand, The Merriwether Towers, The Benson Tower and finally, The Eliot Tower. Some sites were abuzz with activity. Others were quiet.
The Vaux is located in Northwest.
The Riverscape Townhomes are located in NW just north of the Fremont Bridge on the Willamette River.
The Pinnacle Condos are nearing completion in the Pearl.
The Elizabeth is ready for move in. There are still workers putting on the final touches.
1620 NE Broadway, the only project of this scope on the east side of the river.
The Portland Streetcar is now making its way in front of The Strand’s construction site in Riverplace.
The Streetcar turns around outside of the Residence in at Riverplace. The Strand is visable in the background.
The end of the tracks, under the I-5/I-405 split. The line will run to the South River Blocks and perhaps even further south.
The Meritwether Towers are the first of the South River Blocks project. The first picture is framed by the OHSU construction crane.
The Benson Tower broke ground in March and will be completed in early 2007. Located in downtown SW, near PSU. You can see the Elitot Tower’s crane in the background.
Last stop was the Eliot Tower.
If you made it through the whole tour, you deserve a picture of the hard working real estate blog dog, Tasman.
