(Real Estate) Signs of the Times

Resigns
I took this picture last night while previewing a listing in NE Portland. Might have made a better picture if I had moved my car but the point is the three real estate signs (the Prudential one on the left is not our listing). I’m not sure if I have ever seen a street of existing homes with neighbors listed and the house across from them listed.

  1. So you’re saying that there’s about to be a fourth forsale sign added to those 3, correct?

I expect we’ll be seeing more of that…

Just curious: Any idea how long ago these people bought? Could this nieghborhood have had a lot of flipping & buying a couple of years ago and now those 2/28 ARMs are resetting all pretty close to the same time?

  2. No, there is not a fourth sign coming; I was previewing one of them (bought ’05 and now fully remodeled) for a client.

The Prudential listing is pending (17 days on market) and the tax record shows no deed info and RMLS shows no history.

The other was purchased in 1999.

  3. Hey Charles, I’m surprised to hear that you are surprised by the closeness of listings. I sold homes in Las Vegas for years and I’ve seen 50 or more homes for sale in a subdivision of maybe 400 homes, many near each other.
I now with Prudential in Florence, Oregon, maybe we could trade referrals. I do a great deal of internet marketing and I take listings from Florence, east to Eugene & south to Coosbay and North to Yachats.
I generate leads for Portland, in fact I had one today for a nearly vertical view lot listed by RE/MAX for like $69,900. Of course I get bigger leads too 🙂
I’ll keep you in mind if you like and my contact information is below on my website. I would be happy to trade referrals. I just had another referral to an agent in Vancouver, WA.
