Live in Portland and pick pumpkins.Kruger’s Farm has taken their beautiful Portland property on Sauvie Island and turned it into a festive salute to Pumpkin Season on the Farm. People who live in Portland are familiar with the high quality of Kruger’s Farm produce provided at the St. John’s Marketplace and the Hawthorne Market, and those who can make it out to the island are able to enjoy the harvest as well as the atmosphere of the Farm. They host field trips, birthday parties, and farm to plate dinners, as well as summertime concerts and camps for the surrounding area. On Kruger’s Farm there are plenty of ways to spend the day no matter what time of the year guests visit.

During pumpkin season, families who live in Portland are welcome to enjoy the Corn Maze from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening. There are free hayrides on the hour, every hour, out to the pumpkin patch where everyone can pick their favorite pumpkin for only 29 cents a pound! From 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., there are caramel apples, roasted corn, pie, and hot apple cider for everyone to enjoy, and farm animals to meet as well. On the weekends and school holidays they also have pony rides and Phil’s Grill, wood-fired pizza!

The Corn Maze Cabaret is the highlight of the farm fun on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the month of October. There are fire dancers and cabaret performers, and inside a big top circus tent visitors can enjoy an outdoor movie as well as music from a live band. With so many wonderful opportunities for family fun, Kruger’s is a popular destination for seasonal festivities for everyone living in the Portland area.
