What We Loved at Street of Dreams 2016: Gorgeous Outdoor Spaces

As our team does every year, we went down to Street of Dreams to check out the selection of handpicked luxury homes to see what real estate trends are next, to get some inspiration for our own homes, and just to gaze at some fantastic homes. We then asked our team to pick out something that they enjoyed the most about the homes and had them write about it.

Ray Gardner is up next and is one of our newest buyers agents on the team. He really loved the outdoor spaces at Street of Dreams, and the sheer beauty of all of them.

street of dreams poolIt’s no secret, Oregonians love the outdoors. In fact, love may be a bit of an understatement. This was never more evident than at this year’s Street of Dreams event in West Linn. As soon as you approach the area, you can see why this location was hand picked as the spot for these five dream homes.

All of the homes overlook acres and acres of rolling hills freshly planted with grapevines. In the valley of the hills you can see what will be an elegant tasting room for the wine once it is made and beyond that you get a breathtaking view of Mount Hood that makes you feel it is close enough to reach out and grab a handful of snow off it’s peak.

Portland Street of Dreams patioContrary to popular belief, Oregonian’s don’t just like to sit back with a glass of wine, put our feet up and just look at our amazing scenery (Although that doesn’t sound like such a bad idea). We also know how to entertain ourselves while we enjoy our unbeatable summer weather. Every home had it’s own unique outdoor entertainment area. Huge doors leading you from your family room out to your own paradise where one minute you can be working on your tan and the next find cover in the shade and watch the Timbers game on one of the many flat screens.

Whether you are spending time around a cozy fire pit or hosting a barbecue, these homes will be the number one holiday and vacation destination among your family and friends.
