What We Loved at Street of Dreams 2016: Wine Cellar

As our team does every year, we headed to Street of Dreams to check out this year’s latest selection of gorgeous luxury homes to see what real estate trends are next, to get some inspiration for our own homes, and just to gaze at some fantastic homes. We asked our team to pick out something that they enjoyed the most about the homes and had them write about it.

Jessica Berger, our Director of Sales, loved the wine cellar in the second home so much that she had to claim it as the piece she was going to write about as soon as she saw it so nobody else on our team could take her favorite thing. Check out her thoughts below.

My favorite event of the year is the Street of Dreams. I love being able to follow the trends in high end homes so I can let me buyers know what the next big thing will be. There are always many things that I love about each of the homes, but for me, the biggest stand out was the wine cellar with a glass ceiling.

On the main floor, you can walk out of the kitchen and look down into your wine cellar. No need to be wary of the glass floor. It is very thick glass with steel reinforced beams supporting it which gives it an almost industrial feel. This fits very well with the house as the home features many industrial accents throughout the home.

When you travel down to the lower level, you can really see how stunning the wine cellar is. There is ample built in wine storage as well as a gorgeous display wall for your finer wines. The other two walls are tempered glass so you can admire your fantastic wine collection from any angle while you are downstairs. The room is also big enough to fit a small table and some chairs, which is perfect for hosting a little wine tasting with your friends.

While not every home can have a wine cellar, those that do will surely aspire to be like this one. If you have a chance to check it out this year, don’t miss Street of Dreams!

  1. Thanks for putting this together.

  2. I got my ticket on-line, but couldn’t find the Street of Dreams open house. What I had read was that it was in Forest Grove off Jackson School Rd. But the new street address nor my I-phone’s GPS couldn’t identify it. I drove there anyway thinking there would be signs posted on that road but nothing. There was no phone number listed in the add to call for questions. Your article above says it was in West Linn? I finally gave up trying to find this open house Street of Dreams.

  3. Would love to know where I could tour Street of Dreams in 2017. What a stunning tour in West Linn.

  4. The homes should be announced sometime early next year.
